The new Talking Bible contains all of the New Testament on one cassette

The New Testament has been published in 1,034 languages, says United Bible Societies. But what of the world's 1 billion illiterate inhabitants? The new Talking Bible, from Audio Scriptures International and World Mission, is unlike earlier efforts in that it contains the entire Testament on one irremovable cassette. Editions in Kiswahili and the New International Version are already selling briskly. "I was on [cable TV shopping channel] QVC for eight minutes [and] sold 500 units," World Mission executive director Greg Kelley told the Detroit Free Press. The next challenges: finding missionaries to record in hundreds of languages and finding better power than batteries, which can be hard to find and run out in the early pages of Revelation.
